Laparoscopic Surgery



    In laparoscopy, thin tube with a light and camera, is inserted through a small cut below the belly to check the pelvic organs, fallopian tubes and outside of the ovaries.

When is it performed?

    A diagnostic laparoscopy is performed to find problems like adhesions, cysts, infections and fibroids.
    It is also done to treat conditions like pelvic inflammation, endometriosis or ectopic pregnancy.
    It is usually performed to determine the causes of infertility and blockage in fallopian tubes after the infertility test which do not show any causes of infertility
    The surgery takes about 30- 90 minutes but the procedure may take longer if endometriosis is found
