Absent Uterus is a very rare issue found in females. Approximately out 4500 women it is found in 1 woman. Although women with absent uterus are usually unable to carry a pregnancy, they may be able to have children through assisted reproduction. Often, the first noticeable sign of absent uterus is that menstruation does not begin by age 16 (primary amenorrhea)
The cause of absent uterus is unknown, although it probably results from a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
